Do you ever wish you could buy a pill for your two-year-old so they will obey you the first time with a polite, “Okay, Mommy” or “Okay, Daddy”? A pill that would make your child always smile and wait patiently for their food or other things? “Greg, you're dreaming, right?” Obviously, THAT doesn't exist. Parenting takes time, energy, persistence, and patience. Mostly it takes being there when the window of opportunity to your child’s heart becomes briefly receptive to that nugget of truth you want to share with them. Are you making sure you're alert and ready when your kid's heart is open? This is part of the joy and the challenge of being a mom or dad.
A pill a day makes your child perfect—I don’t think so!
